CSKA ARENA is located in the Southern District of Moscow near the Third Ring and 10 minutes walk from the historic center.
The complex was opened in 2015. It’s area is 70 000 square meters. CSKA arena (70 000 m2 area) is the first sport facility in Russia which accommodates 3 arenas under one roof at once: large (12 000 seats), small (3000 seats) and training (200 seats).
All arenas of the complex are multifunctional: not only ice hockey matches are held there, but also competitions in other sports, as well as festivals, exhibitions, concerts and shows of Russian and international level. These features make the arena a unique sports and entertainment facility.
The Large arena also has 80 VIP luxury boxes, modern multimedia system, the complex has its own kitchen and 600 m2 pre-cooking shop, 10 food — courts, 2 children’s rooms and press centers for media work. There is a separate entrance and individual transfer to the stands for the mobility impaired groups in the complex.
In 2016, the arena hosted games of the anniversary 2016 IIHF World Championship. In the same year CSKA Arena became the venue for The Kontinental Hockey League All-Star Game. CSKA Arena regularly hosts matches of international tournaments where Russian national hockey team participates.
For the comfort of athletes the Large arena has 9 cloakrooms, one of which includes a gym, a coaching staff office, a medical office, a workshop for skating points and equipment repair, a kitchen with a recreation zone and also a large rehabilitation zone with a sauna and a bathroom for restorative procedures. The small and training arenas has 14 cloakrooms.
