The CSKA team came to the final match of the home series with Admiral after an over–productive victory over Dynamo from Minsk - 8:5. As part of the CSKA team, Tahir Mingachev replaced Semyon Pankratov, and Vsevolod Skotnikov started the match at the last ditch from the first minutes.
The CSKA players started the last three matches in the role of catching up and were forced to recoup. Today, this unpleasant series was closed. Anton Slepyshev in the middle of the first period received a cool pass across the rink from Bogdan Kiselevich, got close to the goalkeeper, and put the puck between the shields. In the next attack, CSKA could have doubled the advantage, but Andrei Svetlakov failed to beat the goalkeeper. Before the break, the guests could return to the game, but Vsevolod Skotnikov played reliably.
In the second twenty-minute, the fans did not see any goals, but the CSKA team still had a good moment. Okulov and Mamin took the puck away on someone else's blue line and ran to the goal, but Serebryakov deflected the puck.
In the third period, both teams attacked with varying success, but the goalkeepers played reliably. There were several good approaches to the Admiral's goal during the extra draw – defender Evgeny Lisovets retired for blocking. The CSKA team pocketed their chance five minutes before the end of the third period. Fredrik Klasson, after the transfer of Matvey Guskov, threw under the crossbar irresistibly. The CSKA players spent the rest of the time strictly on the defensive, Vsevolod Skotnikov made his second dry match this season of the KHL.
