Forward Denis Zernov played for CSKA for the first time this playoff, joining Prokhor Poltapov and Maxim Sorkin on a line. Forward Alexei Churkin also returned. Omsk took the lead in the second period. Defenseman Gulyaev, who had joined the attack, scored a precise shot under the crossbar. The Army Men rushed forward and stormed the goal. Jeremy Roy received a pass from Prokhor Poltapov and fired home without resistance. In the third period, our team had every chance to build on their momentum and snatch the victory, but the visitors managed to fight back. But the game took a different turn in overtime. It all started with a penalty for CSKA. The Army Men fought back confidently, but this period gave the visitors confidence, and they never relinquished the initiative. The Omsk team took numerous shots at Gamzin's goal and eventually converted one of their chances in front of the goal. We're losing and have no room for error.
