CSKA loses in thriller, series moves to Moscow

Avangard - CSKA 4:3 OT

The fourth game started very well for CSKA. Avangard looked little bit more active, but it was Army men who were scoring goals. Anton Slepyshev and Maxim Mamin gave CSKA two-goal advantage. Avangard had a great chance but Boucher couldn't score the shootout. From the end of the first period CSKA got some problems. The had to play 10 minutes shorthanded when Loktionov and Shalunov were ejected. Avangard scored once and took the initiative. CSKA had many penalty minutes today and it helped the home team to even the score.

In the third period Avangard took the lead - the great shot after a won faceoff made it 3:2. But it was not over yet. CSKA had a power play in the last minutes, they played 6 on 4, and one second before the end Mat Robinson tied the game - 3:3!

The match went to overtime were CSKA had a good chance to make it 3-1 in the series. They had a power play, but instead a mistake led to Avangard's gamewinner.
