CSKA signed a deal with John Gilmour

A Canadian defender John Gilmour, who was playing for Buffalo Sabres last season, signed a deal with CSKA. He will play with number 3 on his jersey.

In 2013 Gilmour was drafted 198th overall by Calgary Flames, but he played first game in NHL for New York Rangers.

John has played twice in AHL All-star game, and in the 2018-19 season he was the leading defender in scored goals (20), collecting 54 points in 70 games.

Gilmour has become the third Canadian in CSKA's roster after Mat Robinson and Brendan Leipsic.
