CSKA played starting minutes of the first game very impressively, and Torpedo was not ready. First goal came on 4:04 – Anton Slepyshev took the puck, got it to the slot and scored. Soon Torpedo goalie Anders Lindbäck made a mistake - he lost the puck and allowed Mario Kempe to score in the empty net. In the second period Lindbäck was unlucky again – he tried to throw away the puck but failed and even fell trying to get back to the net. Linden Vey scored easily – 3:0.
However, Torpedo didn’t give up and tried to resist. Visitors had some chances but Ilya Sorokin played well. CSKA was not trying so hard to make advantage bigger, so the game ended 3:0.
