Sergey Fyodorov: We finished the game on a good note

- Congratulations to the guys on the victory. Congratulations to Misha Grigorenko on the 300th match. This is an important date at a club like CSKA. I am glad that we won his milestone match. The second period was spent ambiguously. I didn't see any big problems, Barys just counterattacked very well, especially when we lost control of the puck. But the guys reacted correctly, realized that they had made a mistake, and played the third period with dignity. We scored in the power play, which, of course, helped a lot. We won two of the three matches. We also got some experience in Yekaterinburg. We are preparing further.

— Were you overwhelmed with emotions in the second period? Can we say that a relaxed game started on the ice, unusual for your team?

— I think there were no relaxation in our performance. Emotions did not overwhelmed us at all. Technically, we're stuck on one side. We warned that Barys plays tightly in attack on one side. Therefore, the puck must be moved to the depth of the zone with the flanks being changed. But we failed to do this a couple of times, and counterattacks happened.

— At the beginning of the match, we received a lot of sending-offs. Is it an overabundance of desire or some other problem?

— I don't think there was an overlap of the team spirit. These were individual mistakes of our players. The leading player cannot receive such sending-offs. This speaks about the individual training of our guys. The mood was right, we finished the game on a good note.

— Klasson did not play with Avtomobilist in the third period. He wasn't here today either. Is he injured?

— He is adapting. He played a lot of matches well, but in the last ones he didn't act quite well, and we gave him a rest.

— Is Darren Dietz still recovering from his injury?

— I think that when we arrive in Moscow, Darren will already be training in the general group. He has undergone treatment and recovery, he just needs to get in shape, and he will be able to play in the next matches.

— Do you think the idea of removing the goalkeeper in overtime has caught on?

— Yes, it has caught on. Shootouts are interesting for fans, but not for our team. There are a lot of matches this season, there is no time to train, so sometimes we decide to go this way so that at the end of the game we check the leading hockey players in the power play.
