Loko’s OT strike halts CSKA fightback

Statistics.

The first period of the third match of the series was completely won by CSKA. But the beginning was quite disturbing. The CSKA players remained three after the dismissals of Tahir Mingachev and Vladislav Provolnev. The guests did not use their chance, and then CSKA crushed the opponent. Sergey Fedorov's team had a whole bunch of chances, but they failed to make the decisive throw. A goalless draw after 20 minutes of play.

The second period of the match in Moscow turned out to be similar to Yaroslavl one. CSKA also did not use their chances, Lokomotiv shot a double. First, Daniil But took advantage of Vitaly Abramov's dismissal - 0:1. Less than two minutes have passed and Georgy Ivanov has already doubled the advantage of Lokomotiv — 0:2. CSKA tried use the remaining time to close the gap, but the teams left for the break with the same score.

In the third period, we finally managed to score. Pavel Karnaukhov worked on a slot and put the puck in the goal — 1:2. The guests held on, but failed with the discipline. Pavel Kraskovsky retired, and Mikhail Grigorenko used the numerical advantage — 2:2. Both teams had chances in the end, but the game went into overtime!

Alas, luck was on the side of the guests in the extra period. Denis Alekseev was the author of the goal. We lose in overtime
