We beat Vityaz in overtime

CSKA turned on from the first minutes of the match. It took exactly two minutes, and Vladislav Kamenev opened the scoring after the transfer of Maxim Mamin and Konstantin Okulov. This puck was the first for the CSKA striker after returning to the ice. The hosts also had some serious chances to equalize. Especially at the end of the period, when Adam Reideborn reflected a series of finishes at once. The removal of Yaroslav Dyblenko in the remaining time before the siren, Vityaz did not pocketed the chance — CSKA went on a break in the leaders.

The beginning of the second period, on the contrary, turned out to be successful for the hosts. Dyblenko's removal expired, but Vladislav Kara already made the score at even strength — 1:1. A little later, Maxim Mamin threw dangerously at the goal, but hit the goalpost. In the middle of the match, the ice masters received the second power play, Sergei Plotnikov retired. The CSKA players were sharper in those two minutes. Andrey Svetlakov in the minority ran away 1 on 1, but could not beat Dorozhko. CSKA got their chance to play in the power play but they also failed to take advantage of it. Draw after 40 minutes of play.

At the very beginning of the third period, Maxim Mamin got two minutes, but, to the delight of the CSKA fans, Vityaz did not pocketed this chance. The score was 1-1 in the third period largely due to the game of Adam Reideborn. In one of the episodes, Graovac threw into an almost empty corner, but the goalkeeper of the CSKA managed to move and reflect the puck. When playing 4 on 4, CSKA found its moment. After a throw from the blue line, Vladislav Kamenev scored a double, working in front of the Vityaz goal. The young link of CSKA strengthened the score on the scoreboard — Matvey Guskov threw, and Tahir Mingachev corrected it — 1:3. This puck became the hundredth for the CSKA club this season. When it seemed that the result of the match was known, Nikita Goncharov reduced the gap, and then completely equalized the score. The game went into overtime.

In extra time, the CSKA removed the goalkeeper again. In numerical advantage, it was possible to close the hosts in the zone, and Vladislav Provolnev's accurate throw from the blue line brought CSKA victory!

Now the army club goes on the road along the route: St. Petersburg — Nizhny Novgorod.
