Two Army teams faced each other again in the Western Conference finals. CSKA started the seried at home as the winner of the regular season. In the first period SKA tried to play actively but one mistake allowed CSKA to open the score. In the end of the power play Bengtsson tried to make a shot but broke his stick instead. CSKA took the puck and easily scored in the 3 on 1 counterattack. Less than a minute adter CSKA doubled the score. SKA defenders couldn't throw the puck of their zone, Anton Slepyshev stole the puck and made a good shot - 2:0. CSKA knows how to play havinh a lead, so it was very difficult for CSKA to come back. SKA didn't have many chances to score, instead of that, CSKA made their advantage bigger. Maxim Shalunov made it 3:0, and the outcome of the game was clear. CSKA started the series with a win.
