No one was expecting that Western conference outsider Dinamo Riga can take away win from CSKA, the defending champion. But the team from Latvia was very close to sensation. After two periods of game Dinamo have the 3:1 lead.
CSKA came back in the third period. Maxim Mamin scored on 53:56 and Nikita Soschnikov evened the score on 55:17. And in the overtime Brendan Leipsic scored a gamewinner.
