For the match in Khabarovsk, the CSKA coaching staff chose Dmitry Gamzin as the starting goalkeeper. This change in the roster was the only one, not counting the permutations within the game combinations. As in the previous match with Admiral, our team faced a very active start from an opponent who sought to use the fact that for CSKA the game started earlier than usual. But the CSKA coped with the pressure of Amur, playing carefully defensively and not making mistakes. The most dangerous moments at Gamzin's goal arose during the two-minute powerplay, and our goalkeeper played great in several episodes. The CSKA players also made several promising attacks, but the audience did not see any goals before the first break.
In the second period, the CSKA team outplayed the opponent and scored three unanswered goals against Amur. Konstantin Okulov played this segment perfectly. First, he brought Vladislav Kamenev to the scoring shot with a cutting pass, and then scored himself. The Amur goalkeeper had no chance to cope with a powerful and accurate throw under the crossbar. CSKA's attacks did not stop, and the third goal was organized by a дштл of Abramov – Poltapov. Vitali threw at the goal, Prokhor played on finishing. In the third 20 minutes, the Khabarovsk residents made attempts to turn the course of the match, loaded Gamzin, and played in the powerplay. But their efforts were not crowned with success. The CSKA team confidently brought the match to a shutout win.
