The Swedish rookie of CSKA shared his emotions after signing the contract with the Army team.
– Thank you very much for your warm welcome! I am very happy to join CSKA, one of the most famous clubs in the world. Of course, I want to win the Gagarin Cup. Playing for CSKA is a great opportunity to achieve this goal. The KHL is a very good league with many wonderful hockey players playing interesting hockey.
– How well do you know the history of CSKA?
– In fact, I know a lot about the Club. Perhaps this is one of the few teams in world hockey with such a rich history. I am looking forward to joining CSKA to make a new history and win trophies.
– Did you communicate with any of the Swedish players and the KHL before you make your decision? Maybe with Klas Dahlbeck?
– Before signing the contract, I corresponded a little with Klas. He told me about the city, the club and the cool CSKA fans. I am waiting for the moment when I can play in front of them. I am sure that together with the team we will be able to give them many happy moments.
– Hockey players of the KHL will be able to take part in the Olympic Games next year. Playing for CSKA will also allow you to join the national team. How important is it?
– Of course, I would like to play at the Olympic Games. It is my dream to represent the Swedish national team in such a tournament. Now I am focused only on CSKA and I want to be useful to the club.
– Tell us where you are now, what are your plans before the start of the training camp?
– At the moment I am in Sweden. I flew in from Calgary just a week ago. I will get some rest with my family, and then I will start training to prepare well for the season.
