- Yes, indeed, it is so, the Gagarin Cup came for the first time not only to Voronezh and the Voronezh region, but also to the Black Earth region in general. I am doubly pleased that it is me who delivered the main trophy of the KHL.
- How was that time? What was the most memorable thing about the Cup tour to your hometown?
- There wasn't much time, and there were enough locations in one day. First of all, this was a meeting with the heads of the regional administration, and secondly, the cup visited the ship of Peter the Great. This place was not chosen by chance, because Voronezh is the cradle of the Russian fleet. Then the main event took place at the Academy of Physical Culture and Sports, where many young hockey players and their parents were present. At the end, a master class was held at the ice arena, so the day was very tight, from 8 am to 8 pm.
- You gave out several hundred autographs, and then went to a master class with young hockey players. Did you have enough strength for everything?
- I had enough strength, as if I had played the match, and to be honest, I was tired, but, however, the organization was at the highest level.
- Tell us about the emotions you feel when the Cup is with you for a few days for all 24 hours?
- There's been just a veritable firestorm of emotions, sometimes I couldn't even believe that the main trophy was only in my hands. This is, of course, happiness and a great holiday!
- You have already gone out on the ice with the children in Voronezh, surely you missed the game, didn't you?
- Since the beginning of June, I have been slowly starting the training process, undergoing rehabilitation procedures at the physical therapy clinic and riding three times a week, in the coming days I will increase the amount of work.
