The CSKA striker speaks about his summer holiday, his wedding and the organisation of a Gagarin Cup celebration in Orsk.
— The vacation is gradually coming to an end. How are you spending this summer?
— First we went to Dubai with my wife. Then we came home, celebrated the wedding. A few days later we flew to Turkey, visited a number of cities. We rested for a week in the city of Bodrum, and then went to Cappadocia. There we went hot air ballooning.
— They rise to a very high altitude. Wasn't it scary?
— I was afraid when they started to go up. I kept saying "That's it! I'm not going up" (laughs). My wife made me! We have already had an incident when we were riding a roller coaster in Dubai — I was very scared. At the entrance, in the end, I refused to go. I am OK with a water park, I can visit all the slides, but the roller coaster is not my thing at all.
— But in Cappadocia, my wife said that we definitely had to go balloning, no options. I was scared when we took off and she was scared when we got to the top. It seems that the height was 730 meters — it was her turn to be scared. It turned out that at the bottom she was comforting me and at the top I was comforting her.
— Our next stop was Istanbul. I really don't like walking, but my wife made me again (laughs). We walked 20,000 thousand steps, walked for two days, I was very tired. After that, I said that I would not go to such an event again. I prefer to stay in a hotel, swim in the sea or in the pool.
— You have mentioned the wedding. How did everything go?
— We celebrated the wedding, had a very good time. A lot of guys from the team came, thank you all for responding, coming from different cities. Obviously, it's a long season and everyone wants to be with their families, but we managed to get everyone together in Moscow. Relatives have arrived, this is one of the best days in my life. I liked how the event went, I think everyone was satisfied.
— On June 25, you will have an event with the Gagarin Cup in Orsk. Are you seriously preparing?
- Yes, I am! There is experience from last year's event. The year before, a lot of people came too. There was a festive programme, it's going to be great this year too. I hope a lot of people will also come, there will be prizes and gifts. I take such an event seriously. I want people to remember this and everyone to enjoy the holiday.
— Have you already started to gradually prepare for the new season?
— Let 20,000 steps in Istanbul be my first workout. To be honest, I'm just recovering, healing minor injuries. After the Cup events, I will start preparing seriously.
