The CSKA coaching staff didn't change the lineup for the fifth game of the series in Minsk, based on the victorious game in Moscow. The only change was the rotation of the third and fourth lines. Dynamo had some changes, some injured players returned to the lineup.
The game didn't go our way from the start. The Army team conceded in the second minute, and the home team took the initiative after that. After a bad stretch in the middle of the period, when Dynamo scored twice, Ivan Prosvetov left the court and was replaced by Pavel Khomchenko. The Army team ran forward and tried to get back into the game. Kirill Dolzhenkov effectively put Ilya Usov on the ice, who provoked an altercation with him. But it couldn't fully shake up the team. In the 20th minute, Minsk scored again, and the rivals went into the break with the score 4-0. In the second period the situation could not be reversed. The gap in the score continued to grow and reached seven pucks, and the game was not going on the attack, and two power play attempts didn't help. Another unpleasant moment was the injury of Egor Fateyev, received in a collision with the same Usov.
The sixth match will be held on April 5 in Moscow. Our team needs to win to bring the series back to Minsk.
