In a exchange between CSKA and Severstal, the CSKA club received the rights to rearguad Vladislav Provolnev for a financial compensation.
In 2014, Provolnev won the Kharlamov Cup and the World Junior Cup with Spartak. In the CHL he played for the Red and White's first team, as well as for Severstal, playing 244 games and scoring 49 (20+29) points for effectiveness. In addition, to the name of the 26-year-old hockey player there is 10 games for the Russian Olympic team.
In March 2021 the rearguad signed a contract with the NHL club Arizona Coyotes.
