CSKA was a huge favourite in a game against Neftekhimik, and in the first period already Army team had advantage. CSKA players created some good chances to score, but Neftekhimik stopped most of them. The only goal was scored by Ivan Telegin at 04:56.
Nevertheless, away team couldn't hold for too long. In the second period CSKA players did whatever the wanted and scored four times. Mario Kempe made great contribution in this success, making a hat-trick. After the fifth goal Neftekhimik changed the goalie but it was not enough to come back in the game. CSKA scored one more in the third period and won the match.
