Hockey clubs CSKA and Torpedo have completed a trade.
The Army Club acquired the rights to defenseman Yegor Zamula, trading the rights to forward Georgy Merkulov and cash consideration. Zamula, 26, has spent his entire professional career in North American leagues. In the NHL, Zamula played 188 games and scored 43 points (8 goals, 35 assists) with Philadelphia and Columbus. He also won a silver medal at the 2020 World Junior Championship.
Merkulov, 25, is a product of the CSKA Hockey School. He has been playing for the Boston Bruins since 2019. He has played 11 games in the NHL.
