CSKA was named champion of Russia in the 2019-20 season

Russian Hockey Federation announced that in the 2019-20 season, which was canceled during the playoffs due to coronavirus pandemia, CSKA became champion of Russia. The army club was the best team in the regular season and won first round series against Torpedo - 4:0. This championship title is third for CSKA in modern Russian history.
The second team of CSKA system - Zvezda, which competes in the Supreme hockey league, also was named winner of the season. Zvezda won regular season and was 3-1 ahead in the second round series against Humo before season was canceled.
