Stamp redemption ceremony held in honor to the centenary of Vsevolod Bobrov

On 26 December, before CSKA's 1000th game at the Continental Hockey League, was held a stamp redemption ceremony dedicated to the centenary of Vsevolod Mikhailovich Bobrov.

The ceremony was attended by the widow of Vsevolod Mikhailovich Elena Nikolaevna Bobrova, President of the Russian Hockey Federation Vladislav Alexandrovich Tretyak, Olympic champion and participant in the 1972 super series Alexander Sergeevich Yakushev, and adviser to the president of the PHC CSKA Konstantin Viktorovich Margolf.

Vladislav Tretiak, President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation:

- I would like to say that this is a really big event in the life of our national hockey. I never would have imagined that I would have had such an opportunity to sign and be present at the cancellation of a stamp dedicated to a legendary football and hockey player.

I still cannot understand how one can be captain of both football and hockey and be one of the best. Probably no athlete in the world could have repeated that. Therefore, of course, as children, we all played football at Bobrov. It's great that we remember our heroes, because if we don't remember them, we won't have any future.

By remembering and holding such events, we can educate our young people, patriots of their country, devoted to their sport. So, once again, congratulations to everyone on a great event! And a Happy New Year to all of you!

Elena Bobrova, widow of Vsevolod Mikhailovich Bobrov:

- I could never have imagined that I could be surrounded by such legendary hockey players, sit next to them, hear all the good, kind, fabulous things from them. That it is also a pleasure for them. It was a great honor for me to be here. Thank you to the journalists who still remember me / I want to say thank you very much for everything, for every word you say, for every written word that mentions the name of Vsevolod Mikhailovich. Thank you very much and thank you very, very much.

Alexander Yakushev, Olympic champion and Super Series participant in 1972:

- We all know what a great athlete Vsevolod Mikhailovich was. But I would like to say that I owe Vsevolod Mikhailovich for all these successes that happened in my sports biography, because as a coach, he's the most important thing to me. When he joined “Spartak” in '64 he invited 8 young guys and gave them a place in the main line-up. Three years later we became the champions of the Soviet Union. Vsevolod Mikhailovich played a big role in developing not only me, but all those young guys he invited, and you all know them very well, Zimin, Martynyuk, etc. So it is a great honor that I knew and worked with Vsevolod Mikhailovich.
