Yesterday the Russian Olympic national team (the nearest reserve of the national team) lost to the hosts with a 3:4 score in the opening match at the German Cup.
CSKA attackers Maxim Sorkin and Matvey Guskov were in Igor Larionov's team. The Russian national team led with a 2:0 score, but then conceded four goals in a row. Seven minutes before the end of the third period Sorkin gave hope, making 4:3 score. However, the Russians couldn't hang onto the victory.
The next game of the tournament the Russian Olympic team will play on Saturday, November 13. Our team will play against the team of Slovakia. The game starts at 20:00 at Moscow time.
