The Red Army coaching staff for the 2026/27 season has been formed

The coaching staff for CSKA's youth team, the Red Army, has been formed for the 2026/27 season. 

Mikhail Deev, who served as head coach of CSKA-2009 since 2017, was previously the team's coach. He will be assisted by Pavel Valentenko and Dmitry Vershinin. Goaltending coach Yuri Petrov and physical training coach Nikolai Baleskov will also continue to work with the team. 

Pavel Valentenko headed the Novomoskovsk-2010 Mikhailov Academy last season. He previously served on the coaching staffs of AKM-Novomoskovsk, Tula's Mikhailov Academy, and Mytishchi's Atlant in the MHL, Chelny and Tambov in the VHL, and also coached Kazakhstan's Arlan and its youth team. He began his coaching career at Metallurg Moscow, leading the teams born in 2009 and 2008. 

Dmitry Vershinin was part of the Red Army coaching staff in 2019. He also worked at Kristall Elektrostal, Dizel Penza, Khimik Voskresensk, and SKA-Varyagi, SKA-1946, and Dynamo St. Petersburg. From 2023 to 2025, he headed SKA-2009, and last season, he coached Leningradets Vyborg of the NMHL.
