— There are always interesting games between our clubs. Today we managed to score first, but we missed a couple of counterattacks. The goalkeeper kept us in the game. In the third period, we played a little loose in terms of defense. We warned the guys that Dynamo was a systemic team, with a quick switch to attack, so it was necessary to make pressure more carefully.
— There were chances for both teams, I wish we scored when we played in a four-on-three format. But the other team does not sit still, it defends, counterattacks. They also had a couple of chances.
— Over the past month you have played three matches with Dynamo, all the games ended with a difference of one goal and these were quite similar matches. Could you tell me what Dynamo is doing, what is causing such significant difficulties to the CSKA team?
— The first is the competitive spirit. Also the speed of the puck movement. On a rink like this, hockey is quite sharp, the puck goes forward all the time. If you miss out the attack, you will never catch up with the counterattack. In terms of switching from defense to attack, Dynamo is playing very well. As I said, we warned the guys, but there were moments when we played too long in attack. But at the same time, we created tense situations. Our attackers were on the same line. There was no depth to finish the moment in case of a deflection. Our defenders, not seeing our attacker, closed the zone several times, and again a couple of tense situations happened in the third period. In general, our team is ready for such a fast game, but there are individual players who need to play much better. If they are in the top 6, they should give a result. We are working on it, communicating, looking for good combinations so that we have not one, but two or three links that give results.
