Sergei Andronov has been appointed CSKA's player development coach

CSKA Moscow legend and former team captain Sergei Andronov, who recently announced his retirement from hockey, has been appointed the club's player development coach. His responsibilities will include working with players from the club's system teams – CSKA, Zvezda, and Krasnaya Armiya.

Sergei Vladimirovich spent 11 seasons with the club, winning two Gagarin Cups, four Russian Championship titles, and six Continental Cups. He also won gold medals at the 2018 Olympic Games as a member of the Russian national team.

Sergei Andronov on his new role within the club system:

- CSKA is more than just a club in my life. It's where I grew up as a hockey player, where I spent the best years of my career, and where I learned what it means to play for a big team with a rich history. Returning here in a new role is a tremendous honor and a special feeling. When a club you've dedicated so many years to trust you, it means a lot.

I'd like to especially thank the club's management and President Igor Vyacheslavovich Esmantovich personally for their trust. This isn't just a position—it's a continuation of the story I began here as a player. The club gave me everything, and now my task is to repay it a hundredfold, in a new capacity. I want to pass on to the young players what I received myself: an understanding of CSKA's standards, a work ethic, and character. My goal is for our system to produce players who are ready not just to appear on the roster, but to make an impact. So that in a few years, fans will see guys on the ice who have worked their way up from school to the main team and become part of this club, just like I did.

A special thank you to the CSKA fans. You've always been there for us, and it shows. We're working hard.

We welcome Sergei Vladimirovich to CSKA and wish him success in his work!
