Prokhor Poltapov: You need to prove every time that you are among the masters for a reason

The CSKA striker speaks about responsibility for results, about playing with partners in the CSKA club system, the Junior Hockey League Challenge Cup and preparation for Torpedo.

— You have won a difficult but important victory over Sochi. Was there a mental load for the past two defeats? Given that there were chances to turn the game around in the lost matches.

— We can say that there was a load, because we play for a club with a great history. We must not lose. Yes, there are bad days and moments, but no one wants to lose a series of matches.

— There is only one match with Torpedo left before the pause for the All-Star Game and the game of the Russian national team. What is the current state of the team, given the human costs?
— There are a lot of young guys who learn the system of the game, but we have a good line of development in the club, so there are no problems. Of course, there is lack of guys who play in leading positions, so other players have to take their place.

— The line-up is not the optimal now, many leaders are missing. Is there a sense of additional responsibility for the results? After all, you are one of the most experienced of the young guys in the team.

— This responsibility remains the same. You need to prove every time that you are among the masters, who are gathered in our team, for a reason.

— Now CSKA has backing from Red Army and Zvezda. Is it nice to play together again in the main team?

— Yes, of course, it's nice to see them here. It's always nice to see familiar faces around.

— Did you give them any advice? After all, the home and away games are already behind, were you joking or cheering them?

— Actually, I can't advise so much, but the older guys give them tips. I think one would not joke in such a situation. I remember myself at that age, I used to be a little worried, thus trying to fully concentrate on the game.

— The JHL Challenge Cup is left behind you. Did you follow the game of Artem Duda and Kirill Dolzhenko? Did you watch Rinat Ravilevich?

— Of course I did. It's a pity that none of the guys were taken to the KHL All-Star Game. It's disappointing that Rinat Ravilevich lost the match, but this experience is very useful and exciting.

— Would you like to take part if there was such an opportunity?

— Of course, I would, but now there are other priority tasks to perform.

— Torpedo is ahead. Your team have won 4-0 in Nizhny Novgorod. Probably, the guests will be ever more eager for a rematch?

— I think the match will be as difficult as that in Nizhny Novgorod, despite the score. Of course, I want to take a break with another victory, so our mood is the most serious.
