Pavel Bure, the legendary hockey player of CSKA and the Russian National Team, was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland

Pavel Bure, the legendary attacking player of CSKA and the Russian National Team, has been awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the IV degree. It became known from the Decree of the Russian President published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

Bure is a border of the CSKA school. He was a member of the Red and Blue main hockey team from 1987 to 1991 and won gold medals with the club at the USSR Championship.

Pavel Bure, the World and European champion, the Honored Master of Sports of the USSR, spent 12 seasons in the NHL, playing for Vancouver, Florida and the Rangers. Pavel was a silver and bronze medalist of the Olympics as a member of the Russian National Team.

Pavel is president of Hockey Support and Development Association World Legends Hockey League, as well as CSKA Supervisory Board member. In the middle of March, it became known that the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) will nominate Bure to the Board of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).
