Sergei Fedorov's number has been retired by Detroit Red Wings

Last night, the National Hockey League's Detroit Red Wings held a ceremony in honor of legendary forward and current CSKA Moscow Supervisory Board member Sergei Fedorov. The number 91 he wore in the NHL was retired by Detroit, and a banner with the number and the dates of games for the team was raised to the arena rafters. Sergei Viktorovich attended the ceremony together with his family.

During his NHL career, Fedorov won the Stanley Cup three times and also became the first European to win the Hart Trophy, the award given to the league's most valuable player.

The CSKA hockey club congratulates Sergei Viktorovich on this significant event in his career!
