Flowers laid at the monument to Valery Kharlamov on the CSKA Walk of Fame

Today, on January 16, a commemorative ceremony was held in the CSKA Sports Walk of Fame, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the birth of Valery Kharlamov, the legendary hockey player. Aleksey Deev, the director of the CSKA Hockey School, Andrey Mikhailov, the first deputy director, and pupils of the CSKA High School, born in 2007, participated in laying flowers at the monument to the great sports player.

During the ceremony, Honorary President of the CSKA PHC Boris Mikhailov and Aleksey Deev made a speech about Kharlamov.

"Today we remember an outstanding hockey player who was born, grew up and left us as a great man and sports performer. There will be no more such Kharlamov. There will be someone similar. He left such a large footprint on the sands of time that we still remember how he played, how he communicated "with folks". A cheerful, good-natured and sociable guy. Kharlamov's greatness lay in the fact that the more important the meet, the better his qualities were manifested both as a person and as a player. Many thanks to CSKA and the club management for not forgetting their heroes," Boris Petrovich said.

"Unfortunately, our young hockey players have not seen such an outstanding hockey player live. But we constantly show documentaries and feature films to our students. Our children remember and try to be like him in training. Valery Kharlamov was really a hockey player from God, a hockey player with a capital P," Aleksey Evgenievich said.
