Matvey Shuravin: All the guys helped and supported us a lot

The young defender of CSKA told about his debut for the main team.

— The first emotions from the debut for CSKA?

— At first it was very exciting, but after the first shifts I got some confidence. It was comfortable. Before the game, captain Nikita Nesterov came up, said that I would be the first to roll out, supported me. In general, all the guys helped a lot, supported, encouraged me. There were a lot of instructions before the game. I tried to play simpler, according to the team system.

— You went through training camps with the team, trained, and now played — did you feel the team?

— The training camp was great. All the guys helped me. There is a good atmosphere in the team, if you need help, everyone will definitely help. Everything went well.

— In your debut game, you spent a lot of changes on the ice. Did you expect such trust in the first game?

— I was preparing for this, I expected everything. The main thing was to play easier, more reliable. Thanks to the coaching staff for giving me a chance. We need to keep working!

— Is there a big difference in the level if we compare the KHL with the JHL and the VHL?

— There is practically no difference in physical speeds, since there are a lot of young, high-speed guys in the JHL. In the KHL, the puck moves much faster, you need to make decisions quickly. Somewhere you need to play simpler, somewhere, on the contrary, take a pause. Nuances and experience play a big role.

— A short summary of the game with Sochi in general?

— Sochi is a good team, a strong team. After a major defeat from Severstal, they came out to play with us uncompromisingly, to fight. It was a difficult game for me physically and emotionally. It's good that we coped with it.

— There is Spartak ahead, are you ready to play in such a match?

— I'll be waiting for that. The Moscow Derby is always a pleasure to play. I'll be ready.
