The striker of the CSKA club shared his impressions of his debut for CSKA in the Kontinental Hockey League.
— On December 18, it was your birthday, and a call to the main team came the same day. Can this be called a kind of gift?
— Indeed, we joked with our relatives about this. The management congratulated me this way, thank you all!
— The debut game in the KHL was against Dynamo Minsk, this is a very serious opponent. What are the emotions from the match, from your game?
— Positive emotions! I am glad that I made my debut in the KHL for CSKA. Otherwise, I don't like to talk about my game, I was just doing my job.
— In the opening match, you had almost 12 minutes of playing time. Was you surprised by such trust?
— I'm kind of surprised. It was the first game after all. Thanks to the coaching staff for entrusting such a part of the playing time. It wasn't hard: two shifts to get involved, and the understanding of the game is already coming.
— This season you are one of the few players in the CSKA system who have played in all three leagues. It is clear that there is a big difference between the YHL and the KHL. Did the experience of playing in the SHL help?
— Of course, the experience of playing in the SHL helped. The games are completely different, including in terms of level and speed. But the matches with the men gave a positive result.
— There are matches ahead with even more serious rivals — SKA and Lokomotiv. How to prepare for the game with such teams, so as not to "burn out", to be effective?
— Good question. Honestly, I don't bother who to play with. I always try to be distracted: I play games on the console or phone. You need to sleep an hour and a half before the game to be more concentrated and full of energy.
