Igor Esmantovich and Sergey Fedorov — winners of the KHL season

The closing ceremony of the 2022/23 season of the Kontinental Hockey League was held in Moscow today. The award to the best head of the KHL for the record-breaking third time was received by the president of the CSKA PHC Igor Esmantovich.

«The hardest year. Faith in the people who surround you, do the same thing with you, helps. Any competition turns into a battle, and every battle ends with a result. Thank God, CSKA won. I would like to thank all the players and Sergey Fedorov. Many thanks to the Supervisory Board represented by its Chairman Igor Ivanovich Sechin and Rosneft. They don't let us go for a minute, so that we are always at the forefront of the attack» — Igor Esmantovich said in his speech.

The prize for the best coach of the season was awarded to Sergey Fedorov, who led CSKA to the championship title, for the second time in a row.

The symbolic team of the season included two CSKA players: defender Nikita Nesterov and striker Mikhail Grigorenko.
