Defender John Gilmore will play the 2021-22 season with CSKA.

The 28-year-old Canadian hockey player joined CSKA during last season, having previously played for the NHL and AHL. In the North American Major League, he made 37 appearances for the New York Rangers and the Buffalo Sabers, earning 5 (2 + 3) points. In addition, while playing for the Rochester Americans, John was twice invited to the AHL All-Star Game.
In the KHL regular championship and in the playoffs, Gilmore played 29 matches for CSKA, in which he scored 10 (4 + 6) points with and helped the team reach the Gagarin Cup final.
