CSKA Moscow signed a two-year contract with American forward Derek Barach. The agreement runs through the 2027-28 season.
The 31-year-old center spent three seasons in the KHL. He played 213 games with Vityaz and Metallurg, scoring 124 points (54 goals, 70 assists).
