Darren Dietz: I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this legendary team

The defender of CSKA spoke about the recovery after the championship season.

— It's no secret that injuries often happen in the playoffs. How are you feeling now?

— The guys and I celebrated a couple of days after the last game. Of course, after such a difficult season and the playoffs, there are always different microtraumas, the body hurts. But thank God, I escaped serious injuries and I already feel good.

— The off-season is in full swing. How does it turn out for you?

— My wife and I went to Dubai for a couple of days, celebrated our anniversary there and returned to Moscow. Many people already know that we had a daughter before the playoffs and I rarely saw her during the most important matches. I spent very little time at home, so now I cherish and enjoy the opportunity to be with her. I spend as much time as possible with my family.

— What are your plans for the Gagarin Cup day?

— As for the days with the cup, we have not decided how we will celebrate yet.

— Two trophies in two seasons in CSKA. Perhaps this is a wonderful stage of your career.

— It's no secret that CSKA sets the highest task — to win the cup. This is the main goal of any athlete — to become a champion. I am grateful to the management and coaching staff for their trust, for the opportunity to be part of this legendary team. I am very proud of what we have achieved together in the last two years. I'll be back next season even more energized.
