CSKA striker Danila Khulapov spoke about his summer vacation, passion for tennis, preparation for the championship and ambitions for the new season.
— Tell me how you spent this summer, where did you go, what did you see?
— First I visited Cuba, rested there. Then I returned and flew to Spain, where I started my training. I rode a bike with my father every day. Later, I continued to prepare in Moscow, chatted with the guys, skated on ice.
— Is there any new hobby?
— I started playing tennis much more often. We play together with Malik Alishlalov. My girlfriend and a sister are tennis players — so I was doomed to get carried away with this sport.
— The in-depth medical examination is already behind, the training camp with Zvezda has begun. Share your emotions from meeting with partners?
— Awesome! I'm glad to meet all the guys. It put me in a good mood, everyone is charged and preparing for the season.
— This summer you signed a new contract with the club. Most probably there is a desire to continue training camps with the first team, to go on the ice again in KHL matches?
— Of course, there is always a goal to get into the first team. You need to set the highest goals. I think I am ready, physically and mentally stronger. I'm waiting for a chance, I'll prove that I should be there.
— There have been changes in the coaching staff at Zvezda. A little time has passed, but the team is already working under the leadership of Rinat Hasanov. What are his strengths?
— Rinat always keeps a good atmosphere in the team. He's a good psychologist. There is no tension in the team, everyone is positive, but at the same time they are focused. He loves attacking, combination hockey — it's cool!
— A few words for the fans. Did you miss them? Official matches?
— Of course, everyone missed them. We are waiting for the moment to go out on the ice, to hear them in the stands. Looking forward for a new season!
