The CSKA defenseman talked about his short break in Cherepovets and the positive atmosphere in the locker room.
- After the break you can't get off the ice, you are the last one to leave.
- We all missed the dressing room, the jokes. Now we were talking for half an hour. Of course, it was hard - nearly three weeks without ice, without the guys, so now it's a very awesome time.
- Does humor help in a situation when it is not quite clear when the championship will resume?
- It soothes over the tension that is caused by uncertainty. And we, on the contrary, bite each other to make it more interesting to play. We're training with a truncated lineup right now, but the guys will come. Now we pull at each other to get more fans.
- The captain Sergey Andronov is in the national team now. And the coaches told you, "Baga, hold the fort!" Do you feel like Dyadka Chernomor?
- They didn`t say. We’re all holding the fort here (smiling). When there is a good team, all spur each other on to work efficiently.
- What did you do during the break given by the coaches? Did you go to Cherepovets?
- Hassan (athletic trainer Hassan Said) gave us a schedule that I had to comply with to keep all my joints working. Yes, I was in Cherepovets and I was thrilled. There's white snow everywhere, even though our city is berated all the time for having black snow. I went skiing, snowboarding, skating on the street, mass skating under the roof. I spent time with my family and kids. I went to bathhouse with friends. I really had a good time, but I wanted to get back to hockey sooner, because I missed it a lot.
