The Army team defender evaluated the workload in the preseason training and shared his emotions about his rest on a visit of his teammate.
- Artem, two weeks ago in Moscow, you estimated the workload before the training camp in Minsk as normal, but hinting that it will be more intensive. Were your expectations met?
- Yes, I think that everyone met them (smiling). I increased the load and the volume, I added one training session per day.
- How do you recover after such heavy loads?
- I do not do anything special. It's the sleep, the food, plus the schedule is very convenient: I have time to sleep. I think, these are the most important things.
- What do you do in your spare time?
- After supper there's an hour and a half for lying down. Then I go for a walk with our guys, then we have a late supper and after that I have to go to bed. I watch TV, sometimes some videos on YouTube, or play something on the phone.
- On Tuesday, your weekend started in an interesting way with visiting Pasha Karnaukhov. How was it?
- Awesome. I was surprised at what he had on the grounds in his yard, it was super! The hospitality on their part was top-notch. The food and the sauna - everything was great.
- Anton Slepyshev recently called you the funniest person on the team. Where do you get your strength for jokes after hard training sessions?
- They come by themselves. For example, when we are having lunch, someone will say something and you can make a joke or tease someone.
- Does that ironic attitude help you?
- I think it does. Be positive, after all, is better than just eating and keeping silent.
