Popov signed the one year contract

Last season, forward played 51 games in the KHL, 15 of them in the playoffs of the Gagarin Cup, gaining 17 (3 + 14) points. In total for CSKA, he played in 268 matches and scored 114 (34 + 80) points.
In the 2018/2019 season, the striker helped the army team win the Gagarin Cup, and also reached the final twice with the team - in 2018 and 2021. Last season, Alexander scored the oldest goal in the history of the Gagarin Cup final series.
