CSKA captain Sergei Andronov told RIA Novosti that he would like to spend his whole life with CSKA hockey club.
CSKA defeated Vityaz in a regular KHL championship game on Friday in Podolsk with a 6:5 score in a penalty shootout. Andronov played his 536th game for CSKA team and moved into first place in the club history, ahead of Alexei Kasatonov.
"To be honest, my record was not discussed in the team. Maybe nobody knows. I found out from you after the last game. I wasn't expecting any extravaganzas and dithyrambs because now there is a certain process. We are looking for ourselves, looking for our game. Maybe later we will understand. To be honest, I never looked that far ahead. I just tried to work and justify the club's confidence. I never thought so far ahead that I would become a record-breaker in the games. But yeah, at some point I realized I wanted to play in CSKA my whole life," Andronov said.
