CSKA forward Ruslan Iskhakov answered journalists' questions after the victory over Belarus in Russia 25.
In the final match of the May tour, Russia 25 won in Minsk with a score of 3:1. In addition to Iskhakov, CSKA was represented at the tournament by Dmitry Samorukov, Prokhor Poltapov and Maxim Sorkin.
- How crucial was it to win this game after three unsuccessful previous matches against Belarusians?
- Of course, we wanted to finish on a good note. We've lost three times before very offensively. The opponent outplayed us. That's why we all came out today with only one thought - to win.
- You can say that this season “Minsk-Arena” has become almost home for you. Do you remember the series of 1/8 finals of the playoffs for CSKA against Dynamo Minsk?
- Of course, it was very recent. I've been traveling here too often. We were at the training camp in Minsk, and during the season we came here very often, and we played in the playoffs. So, yes, this arena has become almost home (laughs).
- If you compare it with the NHL, Minsk Arena is much inferior in terms of noise?
- No. I would say it's on the same level with many NHL teams.
- Will you stay in CSKA next season and do everything to bring the club back the cup?
- Of course. We have only one goal and there's no other way. We've had such a disappointing season, to put it mildly. So we will work on our mistakes. Everyone will be better over the summer. We will go into the new season with new strength.
- Today we wanted to win not only because we lost the previous three games to Belarus, but also for Prokhor Poltapov, who was seriously injured in the last match?
- Of course. It was very frustrating, the season was essentially over, and to get such an unpleasant injury. His jersey was hanging over our bench, so we were all thinking with him and playing for him.
