We won the second match in a row with a 4:2 score

After two home wins, the Army Men moved to another Moscow arena to visit Dynamo. The teams met for the sixth time this season, meaning they knew each other well. Forward Klim Kostin, acquired in a trade from Avangard, made his debut for CSKA. He played on the first line with Pavel Karnaukhov and Ivan Drozdov. Nikolai Kovalenko returned to action after missing two games. Alexander Samonov kept goal. The match didn't start well for our team. Dynamo's Artemyev broke down the wing and found the far corner. However, the Army Men had the better of the opening minutes. Kostin created a good opportunity for himself, picking up the puck and dragging it to the crease, but the goalie saved Dynamo. There were other interesting moments, too: CSKA spent four minutes on the power play, but the puck wouldn't find the net. But in the second period, our guys clearly demonstrated their advantage, scoring three unanswered goals. It all started with a goal by Nikolai Kovalenko, who brought the puck to the crease and sent it home after a deflection off a Dynamo player. Midway through the period, the power play finally took hold. Mac Hollowell picked up the puck behind the net and sent it past the goalie, who was slightly out of position at the moment. Another defenseman soon scored. Ivan Patrikhaev, a Dynamo alumnus, was first to the rebound and scored. But things weren't without a tense ending. Dynamo scored on the power play to cut the deficit to a minimum, and in the end, they attacked with six skaters to four.

But CSKA defended, and Ivan Drozdov closed the intrigue with a shot into the empty net.
