CSKA lost in a big fight

For the second game against Dinamo Minsk, the CSKA coaching staff made a few changes to the playing lineup in search of better combinations, and also entrusted Ivan Prosvetov with the goal. From the first minutes, it was obvious that the game would be nothing like the previous one. Both teams were much more solid on defense, and there weren't as many scoring chances. Three majority attempts (two for Dynamo, one for us) didn't change anything, the minority teams were more convincing than the attacking players. The game began to change in the second period. The Army team gradually built up pressure and approached the opponent's goal more and more dangerously. The logical result was a goal by Vladislav Provolnev after a long shot. In the following minutes the Army could score more, but luck turned away from our team. Pavel Karnaukhov and Denis Guryanov were close to a goal, shooting from good positions, but the puck didn't go on target, and Dynamo scored on the counterattack. Cole Cassels could have equalized before the break, but the goalie deflected the threat.

At the beginning of the third period, the home team scored again, and again it was a counterattack that led to a goal. But it was far from over. Dmitry Samorukov joined the attack, caught a rebound off the boards and shot past the goalie - 3:2. The intrigue lasted until the final minutes, the Army team changed the goalie to a sixth man, but twice missed into an empty net. Even so, the fight continued. Prokhor Poltapov hit the goalie with a powerful shot, but there was no time for more.

The series moves to Moscow, the third game will be held on March 30.
