Two best teams of Western conference played against each other five games already, and four of them CSKA won. Both CSKA and SKA were fighting for the first place in the conference, so price of this match was very high. In the first period there were no goals but then everything changed. CSKA opened the score: SKA lost the puck near their net, and Kirill Kaprizov scored his 32-nd goal of the season. But home team was leading not long time. SKA was lucky: after the missed shot puck rebounded from the glass, returned to the game, and team captain Ketov was first on the puck – 1:1.
At the end of the period SKA scored twice more: both times shots from long distance were successful. After that CSKA had not many chances to come back: visitors controlled the game. At the end of the game SKA scored the emptynetter, and the final score was 1:4.
