Match against Lokomotiv was important for CSKA because of the loss in previous game which allowed SKA to get close in the fight for the first place. Team from Yaroslavl had no such strong motivation. Nonetheless, it was Lokomotiv who started better and had some good chances. But none of them finished with a goal, and CSKA punished for that. Nikita Nesterov scored from the blue line – 0:1.
The game still was very tough for leader, and only in the third period it became clear who is winning today. Andrey Svetlakov and Kirill Kaprizov (twice) brought the win to CSKA. And Sorokin made another shutout.
