CSKA's home streak continued with a game against the Lada Togliatti. The first game between today's opponents ended in a decisive victory with a score of 7-2. Compared to the previous game against SKA, Dmitry Buchelnikov and Nikita Nesterov were left out of the roster, and were filled with Vladislav Provolnev and Alexei Churkin.
As in the game against SKA, the army team received two penalty minutes at the start of the game, but during this period of play they managed to neutralize all of their opponent's attempts to open the scoring. In the fourth minute, Daniel Sprong horsed into the zone having Poltapov wide open at the Lada goal, so the forward only had to hit accurately. CSKA eight shots were close to success in completing 's attacks but something went wrong. At the same time, there were two sections in the period when the army team played with a man down, but in four minutes of playing time they managed to held on. In the third period, Lada noticeably improved its attacking play. In the middle of the section, the visitors scored one goal, and three minutes later they came within one goal of the army team, capitalizing on a power play. At the end of the game, CSKA managed to rally from the two-goal deficit – Jeremy Roy scored an empty net to close the final score.
