After the break for the Eurotrip, the army team came to the capital of Finland for the second time this season. Less than a month ago, a goal by Anton Slepyshev in overtime brought CSKA a 3-2 victory.
The day before, Ivan Fedotov, Mikhail Grigorenko, Sergey Plotnikov, Pavel Karnaukhov and Vladislav Kamenev played in the final match of the Channel One Cup against Finland (2: 3 OT). The coaching staff decided to give several leaders of the team a rest in the match against Jokerit - Fedotov, Grigorenko and Nesterov.
Three days before leaving for Helsinki, the red and blue signed defender Darren Dietz, and Viktor Svedberg, by mutual agreement of the parties, left the team. Before the break, the army team increased the pressure in the foreign zone. Andronov made an insidious shot to the right corner, but the Jokerit goalkeeper caught the puck with a trap. Five seconds before the siren, the guests earned the second majority in this fight.
The CSKA started the second period with a five-on-four game. Kamenev threw dangerously. The guests created tension in the opponent's zone, but the jokers survived. And soon the owners were again in the minority. Okulov gave a pass to Svetlakov, but the defender blocked the shot. Then Dahlbeck and Dietz tried to punch the opponent's goalkeeper. But the bill remained unchanged.
On the 35th minute, Kristian Komba managed to open the score in the match. But after 14 seconds Sergei Andronov drove the puck into the upper corner of the goal with the passes of Nordström and Wallmark, equalizing the score - 1: 1.
In the opening of the third game segment, Antityla threw into the left corner, but Reideborn managed. After that, the army team transferred the game to the "Jokerit" zone. And soon Sergey Plotnikov took CSKA ahead, earning 400 points in the KHL. The striker scored a goal from a pass from Konstantin Okulov, who earned 200 points for CSKA.
After a missed goal, the Jokers, urged on by the fans, went ahead and already the defense of the red-blue began to work at maximum. The guests managed to hold out in the minority twice. And then Plotnikov designed a double. Thus, Sergei scored 150 points in the regular season. He was assisted by Blazhievsky and Kamenev.
The score did not change until the final siren. CSKA beat Jokerit 3: 1. In the next match on December 22, the team of Sergei Fedorov will play in St. Petersburg against CSKA.
