But congratulations to the team on a victory, the rest is a matter of coaching. We will guide, try to create the most comfortable atmosphere so that the guys will be imbued with the fact that discipline beats the class. If we are a disciplined team, we won't have any problems.
— Now the team is showing the hockey that you want to see?
— I would like to see a more even game in the penultimate match before the playoffs. Let's think about how to enter the game so that we get the first changes, the first ten minutes, the first period. We will pay attention to this, we will convey the information to the guys. This is an experienced team, they understand that you can never miss first in the playoffs. We have not yet achieved this psychology. We will make every effort to correct such moments.
— In overtime, you didn't take off the goalkeeper. Is it because of the preparation for the playoffs?
— We took off the goalkeeper and played 6 on 5. And in overtime... you know, for me it was always another round, with this ratio there is a lot of space, and we worked on positional play. In training, this is not practiced when there are only six people on the ice. We decided to change the format of our game. We proved that we play well 4 on 3 without a goalkeeper. The rest can be called preparation for the playoffs, so that the guys understand that this is a different amount of work. The opponent also knows how to play, everyone has masters who can beat you. Therefore, we decided to play overtime 3 on 3.
— In the last match of the regular season, you play against a future playoff opponent. Are you planning to give the leaders a rest so as not to reveal your cards?
— This is the last game of the regular season, an important component of our preparation for the playoffs. We are taking the game seriously. We will solve our problems, which I have already discussed today.
— Evaluate the experience of 68 matches in the regular season for CSKA. Is there a frazzled state before the playoffs?
— We don't have a frazzled state. We spent time quite evenly in terms of physical fitness. In the last 12 matches we had a very good physical condition. We dosed the guys to rest and work. We finished the previous seasons at the end of April, so we started pre-season training 10 days later than other teams. We have made adjustments and rearrangements in this regard. I have already said that a week or two ago we carried out all the necessary measures to assess the condition of the team. I'm for the rhythm of the game. The best workout is a game. We cannot train for 50 minutes in the context of a season of 68 matches, we train for 20-30 minutes. This season has turned out well for me as a coach in this regard. Although for many players, such a schedule is unusual. But this is the right step. We play hockey, the country is watching, our fans support us everywhere. They are pleased to see their team every other day or two.
— How did you decide to put Maxim Sorkin in the center? I admire his performance in this position.
— I am also delighted. We always knew that Maxim is a central striker. As a rule, when young players come to the main team, go from the center to the edge, it's easier to enter adult hockey. At the beginning of the season, he came in perfect physical shape, and we understood that there was strength, power, skill there. Inconspicuous, but very effective work is seen. I wish Maxim to be confident in his abilities. I hope this will give a result.
— I think everyone liked the game. A lot of goals, power struggle. We are moving on, we have one game left. We know the opponent, we are preparing.
— About the positive moments. 4 goals were scored, earlier there used to be 2, not more. A few words about the third period. Judging by the blocked shots, the opponent had more initiative.
— It's natural. The opponent had to fight back and fight for the second place. Doubled energy. And the team is not easy, powerful, without losses, with good team chemistry, the champion, in a word. They put pressure on us a little.
— How do you like Torpedo during this championship and as an upcoming opponent?
— It is not by chance that the team occupies a high place. A little non-standard, but fast, active. A strong opponent.
— How interesting is it for you to play against Igor Larionov? He's an innovator coach, rocking the league.
— Calm down, we always have a new one of the coaches shooting. All the coaches who are in the playoffs are doing great. We know the strengths of Torpedo, I hope we will find out the weaknesses. We played 2-2 in the season. There will be an equal fight.
— How satisfied are you with such a match, indicative before the playoffs?
— Many games of this season can be called playoff games. They calmly prepared for it, but regarded it as a real test. Some things will still be corrected.
— How exhausted is Dynamo by the calendar?
— I am for a large number of games. This season we had a series of 6 games with flights and relocations, and 4 series of 5 games. I can't say that they are exhausted, but I would like them to be distributed more evenly, even if there are more games.
