Forward Yegor Afanasyev returned to CSKA. He signed a deal till the end of the 2020-21 season. In 2017 Afanasyev left CSKA hockey school and went to North America. There he spent two seasons in USHL for Muskegon Lumberjacks. In 2019 Yegor was drafted by Nashville Predators, and next season he played for Windsor in OHL. In 62 games he has scored 67 (31+36) points with a «+14» plus-minus rating.
Also Afanasyev plays for Russian U-20 national team. In August he participated in Sochi Hockey Open, scoring 7 (3+4) points in 4 games.
