The Vityaz hockey club (Moscow region) decided to skip the KHL Championship 2025/2026 season and informed the KHL about it.  The KHL Board of Directors will consider the changes to the KHL Championship make-up, and then turn to the issue of transferring the Lada hockey club from the Eastern to the Western Conference.
